Dr. Syed Ali Imran

Dr Syed Ali Imran MBBS, FRCP, FRCPC is a Professor of Medicine in Canada. He received his medical degree from the King Edward Medical College, Pakistan and then completed his postgraduate training in the UK and Canada. He has published over 150 research articles and co-authored a book on neuroendocrinology which is now into its second edition.

Dr Imran developed a strong interest in religion during his early years through his interaction with several Sufis, a journey that eventually led him to the discovery of Quran. He then studied Quran and Hadith under the guidance of his teachers Syed Masud Hussain and Syed Iftikhar Haider for over 30 years.
Dr Imran also writes columns for the Dawn Newspaper.
His background as a physician, scientist and teacher has not only afforded him a unique perspective on the Quran but also nurtured his passion to transmit the knowledge of Quran in a more contemporary context.
